BIB WITHDRAWAL

Bib numbers will only be issued to registered runners on presentation of proof of identity.

 

Bib numbers will be collected on Saturday 22 July from 3pm to 7pm in Argentière, Salle paroissiale next to the church. Exceptionally, it will be possible to pick up your number on Sunday 23 July from 6.30am to 8.15am in the Salle paroissiale. Race numbers are strictly personal. They may not be transferred or exchanged. In the event of an offence, the persons concerned will be disqualified and permanently excluded from the ARGENTRAIL events.

Program of the event

Saturday 22 July 2023:

- 3pm - 7pm, Commune de Chamonix in Argentière, salle paroissiale next to the church:

- Withdrawal of race numbers,

- General information

 

Sunday 22 July 2023 :

- 6.00 am / 8.15 am: Collection of last race numbers 

- 8:30 am Entry to the start area

- 8:45 am: Information point on the start line - general briefing,

- 9:00 am: Start of the races

- From 10.00 am: - The first relay and individual runners pass through the centre of the village. - Arrival of the first competitors in the Grands Montets trail

- 11.00am: Arrival of the first competitors in the Argentrail.

- 13:30: Prize-giving ceremony.

Equipment

Each ARGENTRAIL runner undertakes to carry the compulsory equipment detailed below throughout the race. This equipment corresponds to the minimum that each runner should be accustomed to having with them on this type of course. Depending on the weather conditions, the rider's abilities and the specific features of the race, the rider will have to add to his compulsory equipment, for his own safety and the smooth running of the race. Runners are responsible for their own equipment. Compulsory equipment may be checked at any point during the race. Failure to do so will result in disqualification or penalties (see article 19). The day before the competition, if in doubt, runners can have their compulsory equipment validated at the "information" point when they collect their numbers.

 

Compulsory equipment

- Minimum water supply: 1 litre,

- Food reserve (bars or gel)

- Mobile phone in working order,

- Survival blanket (140cmx200cm minimum),

- Whistle,

- Bandage,

- Windproof jacket.

- Clothing covering 100% of the legs,

- Personal beaker or flask

 

Recommended equipment (not exhaustive)

- Waterproof and warm clothing depending on the weather conditions,

- Cap, choker, gloves, sunglasses, etc.

- Additional food supplies.

Poles

Sticks are permitted on the entire course. If runners choose to start with poles, they must keep them with them throughout the race. They may not start without them or retrieve them during the race, failing which they will be penalised.
